Chapter THREE!!! Part uno and section two

What I first noticed about the reading was how extensive it was. But upon further inspection I noticed the text to picture ratio. I would put it at about, 1 to 6. Just like the first two chapters the more I read the more I began to understand. After reading about DEEEEEP EEP EEP EEP SSSSSSPACE SSS SSS SSS.... I WENT BAck and reread and it all started making more sense. Fun fact for ya (better know as 'tasty tid bit'), I also found that when reading out loud my attention is held better. Some of the lingo I had to get used to (like relative movement) and I have to reread most stuff for it to set in. I didn't really understand the 'point of perspective' stuff but when it started mentioning parallel lines it started to become clearer (unlike the phone call from my brother, he wanted to tell me a good idea he had before he forgot. The good idea was to prank call family members and try to get them to bail us out of jail). Im still amazed at the level of detail that goes into movies as I learn things like texural diffusion; and the fact that the screen is 2d but there is an 'Illusion' of 3d. Its not really 3d but it seams like it because of the depth cues, ya I said it and I'll say it again, depth cues.
So i think I'm getting this 'illusion' concept in my head and then 'Flat Space' is all like "Flat space is not an Illusion." (pg43) So no depth cues but, flat cues? Anyways, deep space and flat space are pretty different while limited space combines both cues (but not all). Then part 2 starts out with aspect ratio, its interesting but the pictures are a little dry. Its cool how surface divisions can set the mood or gauge the condition of a relationship. Closed and open space was kinda interesting. The complexity of setting up a scene or shot that feels like open space. And contrast and affinity is cool because you have to use it to help you tell your visual story.

These pictures I tried to focus on certain spacial cues
Deep space: one perspective with, up/down position, tone difference between plates and face, texural difference seen in all faces, empty space between seating shows lack of relationship, and just a guy in a stripy orange shirt

Flat space: no perspectives and texural affinity
Limited space: Size difference and focus makes it seem flatter
Ambiguous: well its hard to tell what is going on here

Deep space, flat space, limited???: some longitudinal planes seen the side of the building to the left; street lights and poles; size difference, textural diffusion, older than some cleaner than most?

Wooooooordle

My mac told me that inspire means stimulate, motivate, encourage, influence, rouse, move, stir, energize, galvanize, incite; animate, fire, excite, spark, inspirit, incentivize, affect. See note at encourage. I did not see the note at encourage but I am fairly easily excited and energized. I get pumped when I watch the national geographic channel at 2:00 in the morning and see how amazing the world that God created is. How detailed and different he made each biosphere. Watching it all makes me want to strap on a helmet and explore the miles of underground caves like the cameras do on t.v. I am in awe by the diversity of creatures God made and the uniqueness of each. I also get energized by being with my friends and sharing in their passions. Whether its playing video games, guns, cars, or getting drinks at speedway. I'm also motivated and influenced by the spontaneity of a experiences.
